After Cooking Tips
After your turkey dinner, cut all the leftover turkey off the bone as soon as possible or it will dry out.
Leftover mashed potatoes can be fried up as potato pancakes the next day, using your favorite recipe.
Reheat rolls in the oven or microwave along with a small dish (ovenproof) of water and the rolls will have a fresh-baked consistency, and not get dried out in the oven or chewy in the microwave.
When your turkey carcass seems like you can't cut anything else off, put it into a very large pot and cover it with water. Bring the water to a boil, then turn it down to simmer. You end up with a very flavorful soup base that is just full of turkey bits. Be sure to scoop out all bone pieces.
For buttering corn on the cob for lots of people, melt butter in a pan of hot water. Dip a cob in, and it comes out full of butter -- which floats on the top.
Get neat cake slices with dental floss. Hold a span of dental floss with two hands, one on each end, and press down. Icing won't stick to it like it will to a knife.
